I grew up in the house of a painter; my mom. I fell in love with photography after I discovered Photoshop on her computer in 2006, editing whatever image I could take on my parent’s camera. Now, if I’m not shooting or editing, I’m probably thinking about it.
I entered the wedding industry before I even entered my twenties. I’ve stayed in it for the endless opportunities to meet and learn from people. Photographing weddings brought me out of my painfully shy adolescence. My job now requires me to help others come out of their guarded selves. And weddings are such an expansive playground for a photographer. I learn something every day, and while not every day is easy, it’s the perfect balance and flow.
My favourite movie genre is Sci-fi. While I edit, my cat usually sleeps in her bed on my desk. Lately I’ve been reading a lot of wilderness survival stories. Not sure what a psychologist would make of that. I love listening to NPR. I bake something every week. I love hiking to clear the head and stretch my body. I got married to a lovely human in 2019. We travel as much as we can. The only time we’re mean to each other is when we play Mario Kart 64.
